Current Structure and Objects of Organisation

MAF is currently a fully consituted unincorporated association.  It will shortly be applying for charitable status.

The Executive Committee of MAF is as follows:
Sophie Garner (Chair)
Anna Burden (Secretary)
Pamjit Bhohie (Treasurer)

We have five additional Committee Members.

We always welcome new mums and carers who want to join our Committee and/or by helping to run our activities.  Please click here to find out more: Getting Involved.

If you're thinking of joining us, you're sure to find someone like you on our Committee, which is made up of women from many different religious and racial backgrounds.  All have children of primary school age that attend schools in the Hall Green area.  Some are full time mums, some work part time, and some full time in sectors such as teaching, law, local authority, child protection and charity work.

Our policy is to take on new Committee Members on an annual basis and we would particularly welcome the input of people who are caring for their children full time.

The objects of MAF, as stated in its Constitution are:

i)                  To help develop community cohesion within the Hall Green Area and the wider community.

ii)                To help ensure that children in the Hall Green Area and the wider community appreciate their shared futures and to grow up with an understanding and respect for one another’s cultural, religious, racial and national backgrounds

iii)             To help those living in Hall Green Area and the wider community to understand and appreciate the benefits of living in an area with diverse demographics.
